If you're due to collect family or friends from Bristol Airport tonight, or you're flying out tomorrow morning, I'd recommend checking the latest flight information before you set off.

Bristol Airport is currently experiencing disruption following a runway defect. A number of inbound flights have already been diverted to other airports and disruption is expected to continue overnight.

If you're travelling, I'd recommend:

• Checking the official Bristol Airport website for the latest arrivals and departures.

• Checking your airline's app or website for any updates to your flight.

• Keeping in touch with your passenger if you're collecting someone, as they may arrive at a different airport if their flight has been diverted.

I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on the situation overnight, as I'm due to collect passengers arriving from Sharm El Sheikh shortly after 3:00am.

With disruption expected to continue into tomorrow morning, it's well worth checking the latest flight information before you leave home.
