New Bristol Airport to Frankfurt Flights Announced for 2027

Bristol Airport has announced a new direct route to Frankfurt, Germany, starting in May 2027.

Discover Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, will operate the new service twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.

For passengers travelling from Mid Devon, the announcement is particularly interesting because Frankfurt is much more than a city-break destination. Frankfurt Airport is one of Europe's major international hubs, with onward Lufthansa Group connections to more than 150 destinations worldwide.

Bristol to Frankfurt Flights from May 2027

The new Discover Airlines service will provide the only nonstop connection between Bristol and Frankfurt and is scheduled to operate during summer 2027.

The Monday and Thursday flights could work particularly well for long weekends and short breaks, while the connection through Frankfurt may also make the route useful for business travellers and passengers travelling further afield.

Frankfurt itself offers plenty for a city break, while its excellent rail connections also make it a useful starting point for exploring other parts of Germany and Europe.
