Exeter Airport Overnight Road Closure – September 2026

Passengers travelling to or from Exeter Airport during the first week of September should be aware of overnight roadworks on the B3184 past the airport.

Devon Highways will be carrying out essential road patching and bridge joint works between Tuesday 1 and Saturday 5 September 2026, from 20:00 until 07:00.

Exeter Airport Will Remain Accessible

The works are being completed in two sections specifically to maintain access to Exeter Airport at all times.

The planned closures are:

Tuesday 1 to Wednesday 2 September: Clyst Honiton Roundabout to the junction with Long Lane.

Wednesday 2 to Saturday 5 September: Long Lane junction to Marwood Lane junction.

During the first night's closure, drivers will need to approach Exeter Airport from the Marwood Lane direction.

For the remaining nights, drivers will need to approach from the Clyst Honiton Roundabout direction.

Gatemen will be on site to assist with access, and Exeter Airport car parks 1, 2, 3 and 4 will remain accessible throughout the works.

The B3184 will reopen outside the overnight working hours.

Allow a Little Extra Time

Although access to Exeter Airport is being maintained, passengers travelling during the overnight works may want to allow a little additional time for their journey.
